0047 presents the release of ALBUM#6 - the latest issue of ALBUM#, a zine published by artists Eline Mugaas and Elise Storsveen.
Through the reorganization and juxtaposition of appropriated images, ALBUM#6 explores parenthood - giving birth, having children, and the feeding and raising of offspring. Then it compares or confuses parenthood with having pets and caring for them instead. ALBUM#6 delves into all the strangeness, daze, love, and instincts involved in being and raising a child (or surrogate animal).
On the occasion of ALBUM#6 release Mugaas and Storsveen have invited Ingrid Torvund to screen her film Blood Magic Machine.
About ALBUM and the Artists
The images in the ALBUM# zine series consist simply of found advertisements and photographic illustrations from old magazines and books, but their arrangement suggests a far more compelling meta-narrative involving sex, gender and the human body.
Album#1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 have been seen at 0047, Torpedo and Printed Matter since the release of #1 in 2008. ALBUM #6 is printed in a limited edition of 200 copies priced at 100,- NOK.

About Ingrid Torvund and Blood Magic Machine (HD video, 22 min)
Magic Blood Machine takes the viewers to a forest where an unspoken mythological play introduces a half-mad fairytale universe filled with mysterious rituals, grief, time travel and hope. The film - produced while Ingrid Torvund was a bachelor student at Oslo Academy of Art - draws its inspiration from Kviteseid in West Telemark, a place known for its folk music, wood carving, storytelling and old churches, where pagan and Christian symbols exist side by side. Magic Blood Machine is made in collaboration with Jonas Mailand with soundtrack composed by Jan Erik Mikalsen.
Ingrid Torvund (b 1985 in Kviteseid,Telemark) is a recent graduate from Oslo Academy of Art. She has exhibited at Kunstnenes Hus, Oslo; Husets bio, Copenhagem and Harpefoss poetry festival (Norway).
