Generator konference 2012
Sweden has been nominated the world’s most creative country in several surveys. A high level of tolerance, openness, and a widespread use of technology are some of the factors that contribute to our advanced position. In addition, we have great access to high-level competence.
But what do we need to do in order to continue to be at the forefront in the future? And how are the cultural and creative industries in Sweden going to become world-beaters at content development, pushing growth, creating attractive locations and refining other enterprises? Creativity, innovation and leadership are three important building blocks and therefore the keywords for this year’s Generator conference.
Creativity: re-thinking, ingenuity, uniqueness – having the courage to go where no one else has ventured before; how can creativity be stimulated?
Innovation: New products and services can drive development towards a more sustainable society. How can more people be inspired to innovate?
Leadership: In a society with increasing numbers of creative and innovative people, companies and organisations, new demands are put on leadership. How can new forms of leadership be developed and implemented?
‘Future’ and ‘vision’ will be marked elements during the conference. The discussion about future efforts to promote and strengthen the cultural and creative industries will be furthered, linked, of course, to the (Government) action plan for the cultural and creative industries as well as to new strategies which are currently in the pipeline (e.g. ”Attraktionskraft Sverige” and the Innovation Strategy).
In addition, you will be able to take part in artistic experiences that showcase what the cultural and creative industries have to offer.
The conference will be held in Swedish. Translation will be available for English speaking participants.
