You Are In Control 2012 - Annual International Conference in Iceland for Digital Creative Business
Between November 4-6 2012, Reykjavik will host the 5th edition of You Are In Control, the international conference that is a hothouse for creatives and thinkers interested in cross-platform creative and media projects and how we respond to the digital revolution. The conference touches on all aspects of the creative industries, from food, digital, literature, design, music, film, games, policy and investment, to look at some of the most current trends, exciting overlaps and pressing problems.
YAIC 2012 will take place at Harpa, Reykjavik's newest arts space and an architectural phenomenon in its own right. Among the many prestigious participants this year are Tracey Moberly, who will discuss her tech-art project Text Me Up, and Roberta Lucca from Bossa Studios, who will talk about the company’s Bafta-winning game Monstermind, and about-to-launch game Merlin, based on the TV series. There will be workshops around attracting investment, developing cross-platform creative work and marketing. Attendees can also expect inspiring speakers and cutting edge cuisine and music. Early-bird tickets are on sale until 15th October from 20.000 ISK [£105, / 133 Euros / US $166] at: http://youareincontrol.is/.
Speaking of music, the conference takes place immediately after the Iceland Airwaves music festival, and You Are In Control are selling a limited number of special combined festival and conference tickets at 30.000 ISK [approx: £157 / 198 Euros / US $248].
